(Bel Air, MD) The Jeffrey J. Plum Legacy in the Arts Award was awarded to Harford County resident Gerald M. Kavanagh for his dedication to the Center for the Arts. Jerry introduced the vision for the Center for the Arts to Clarisse B. Mechanic and his fellow trustees on the Board of the Morris A. Mechanic Foundation. “Without his interest, vigilance, patience, guidance, and due diligence on behalf of Mrs. Mechanic and the Center for the Arts, much of the work completed to date would not have been funded”, said Sallee Kunkel Filkins, Center for the Arts Executive Director.
