 Bee Keepers 7 Day Course at Eden Mill Nature Center
The Piedmont Learning Center at Eden Mill Nature Center will be offering a 7-session Bee Keepers course for ages 14 through adult. There will be seven weeknight sessions: Thursday February 28, March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4 & 11 from 7:00pm-9:00pm and a Saturday session April 13th and/or 20th @10:00 am in the bee yard. The fee is $70.00, which includes books. Instructor Cybil Preston will teach you all you need to know to become a hobbyist beekeeper, from start to finish. You will learn how to establish your own hive, understand the basics of disease and mite management, and learn how to maintain a reduced or chemical free environment for your bees. Geared for beginners, this course is also great for experienced beekeepers seeking more information. Pre-Registration is required by calling 410-836-3050 or emailing edenmillnaturecenter@gmail.com.
